Today was my first day of college classes. This is how it went: Woke up at five because I was starving, fell back asleep until 8. Get up at 8, get ready, curling iron doesnt’ work. Give up on my hair and go to breakfast at 8:40. Eat some cereal and have some chocolate milk. Leave cafeteria and go to class. Arrive at class 10 minutes early only to find out that it is not the right class. Spend next 20 minutes walking around campus trying to find out where I am actually supposed to be. Find where I am supposed to be, start to walk in without noticing the small stair at the entrance. Fall and spill coffee in front of whole class after arriving 10 minutes late. Sit in class. Go to next class, find out that I didn’t get the online access code required to turn homework in with. Get out of class. Go to dorm. Look up how much this access code is going to cost. Only $120 for a piece of plastic. Go to sign some papers for work. Need social security card that happened to not make the trip to school. Then find out that I only am scheduled for 6 hours a week. Go to lunch by myself, sit by myself, eat some chicken nuggets and french fries (hello, freshman fifteen). Go back to room. Get stuff for class. Go to class. Prof is probably 19 years old, dismisses us after 20 minutes because he didn’t get his lesson plans done. Go wait for my next class. Sit in the rain till friend comes. Go into class. Listen to the prof lecture on stuff we learned freshman year of high school. Go back to dorm. Yep. Such the exciting life.
